On behalf of the City Commission, staff and officials, I would like to extend to you a welcome to the City of East Jordan’s website. Whether your plans are to live, work or play in East Jordan, you are sure to find our community a pleasant choice. East Jordan has beautiful surroundings that offer an abundance of recreational opportunities, numerous parks, and plentiful cultural opportunities to experience. Our setting includes several outdoor assets that can’t be duplicated; our natural landscape of the Jordan River, Lake Charlevoix and the Jordan Valley encompass beauty like none other. Our City’s Parks and Recreation Department maintains over 100 acres of public property that includes everything from a campground, harbor, beaches, various picnic parks, and recreational facilities to historic buildings. Check out the City’s facilities map to see our vast features within the community’s four square miles.

In addition to City Hall operations our government departments include 24 hour police protection, a devoted volunteer fire department, public works that includes public water and sewer services, parks/recreation and a member of the Jordan Valley Ambulance Authority. Should you be visiting East Jordan for long stay, feel free to visit a city meeting that could include a City or Planning Commission as well as a Downtown Development Authority meeting to hear more about our multiple projects and partnership efforts.

East Jordan is very proud of where we’re going and where we’ve been. Teamwork is a key component in everything we do. Leadership and collaborations between organizations, businesses, schools and government operations is strong in East Jordan which continues to build a resilient community.
